What was the highlight of Porto Demo Hotel

Nice surroundings and panorama, spacious, clean pool, cozy restaurant.

The area is a typical Greek vacation spot, we got what we expected. The breakfast was edible, but the restaurant is small for the number of guests.

The rooms are small, the neighbor can hear a lot. Our bed shook every time the neighbor's door slammed. They were smoking on the terraces next to us, so it was not possible to sit outside or ventilate. The shower drain was not designed properly, so there was a constant smell of urine coming from it. There was no mineral water in the restaurant, but neither was plain tap water. Wines in bags are undrinkable. You couldn't buy bottled wine. There was no normal coffee in the restaurant, even at a surcharge.

3* All Inclusive in a 5* Location

The location of the hotel is great and the view from the upgraded suites are incredible. Our room was near the top of the resort with a lovely semi-private pool on our balcony. Incredibly quiet and relaxing.

The all inclusive isn't great and they have quite repetitive meals. Poor quality drinks with small selection available from only 1 bar located at the top of all the steps in the resort. If you are located lower down in the resort, you're likely to smell waste and have little to no view from your room. Entertainment was on for 2 of the 7 nights we stayed there.

Honest review

I liked that the hotel was at Agios Georgios, because it is a beautiful location. Most of the staff were friendly, especially Antonio from the dining area who always smiled and said hi whenever he saw us. Hotel manager was also very friendly. There was entertainment at the bar (dances, live music and traditional greek dancing) that lasted till about 12-1am. Stunning views from the bar and dining area. Food was ok, sometimes we missed better selection of fresh salads or fish, but there was always somethibg to choose from, we never left the plaxe hungry.

We didn't like the cleanliness of our room, because since the moment we entered room seemed cleaned poorly. Also there were not enough towels for three people. The shower seemed confusing, because at first we thought there is no hot water, but later we figured out that you need to turn it to the left and wait a bit until warm water starts running. Also the hotel itself lacked cleanliness (dirty floor most of the times). Lots of stairs, also it can get very slippery when it's raining, so we needed to be very careful not to fall with all our luggage. There should be an elevator in this hotel. Also our room had just one key (no spare), so we were told by the cleaning ladies that if we want room to be cleaned and towels changed daily we should leave the key at the reception every time we leave the hotel, which seemed unacceptable to us. For this reason we had towels changed just twice during our stay. Another not pleasant thing is plastic cups and poor selection of drinks that are very low quality. Coffee poured from the coffee machine. Also air conditioner was leaking, so we had to put bin underneath just to make the room cooler. Mosquitos at night were also annoying and they bit us so much. I personslly haven't seen mosquitos like that (still have red dots a week after holiday is over). Too bad because we came here to celebrate our mom's birthday and to pamper ourselves a bit (first holiday together), but these small things made it not very enjoyable.

The staff was very friendly, food was also good and the view fantastic!

The lack of hot water or lack of hot and cold wather without beeing anounced. Lots of musquitos in the room...there should put nets at the windows. The bed was not good quallity...

The rooms were lovely (we also got a free room upgrade, which gave us a room that backed onto a pool) and the hotel felt modern. The view of the bay was great.

Not enough sun beds and the food quality is comparable to a 2 star. Drinks also weren't great quality and not all the machines worked.

All meals were a good standard. Staff were pleasant.

Coffee awful! Room wasn't serviced regularly enough. Towels were not changed and wecran out of toilet tissue. Bathroom in our room was not cleaned regularly enough.

You need a map to find your room and even the receptionist can't assist you. They didn't know when we arrived and when we were about to leave..in the middle of the night one of the receptionist and a guest entered our room. You need to go on the balcony, as there is No WiFi connection or signal in the room

Nice staff trying to correct the shortcomings of the facility.

The interior of the rooms and the standard, unfortunately, are not of the highest quality. Many pieces of equipment worn and broken. only a few rooms in the property with a nice view, the rest are burrows. I saw many better hotels in my life...

Great location with beautiful view

The location was very close to the beach and had a few shops nearby, including few ATMs. The food was great and had plenty of options every day. The staff was always friendly and helpful.

It seemed our room was not ready for check in in the afternoon because the cleaners forgot to clean our room, so when we got it, it wasn’t quite clean. We thought this was an isolated incident, but then on a daily basis the room will get only the bed made, the toiletries replenished and a very quick floor sweep. The bed mattress was very hard and ended up with stiff neck and shoulders, not to mention that the emergency light in the room was SOOO bright that we could barely sleep. On top of all that, the room fridge was making more noise than the air con unit, so the first 2 nights we couldn’t sleep properly. We’ve been to other 4 star hotels, but that is a big difference in services. I think in all fairness that the rating is a bit forced. We had fun nevertheless and the stay was not very unpleasant, but we have expected a bit more from a 4 star hotel to be fair.

The staff were very helpful

The electricity went off several Times a day . The cocktails were very limited and didn’t have the garnishes On the menu . The food apart from set times was sad looking sandwiches. If you’re a vegetarian the choice is very limited. The hotel feels new however not up to a 4 star yet , the staff were trying.

The view to the sea and the choice of pools available.

The rooms weren’t cleaned to a good standard. We had to request extra toilet rolls on 3 occasions and 1 Day we were given none at all. The sheets and towels weren’t changed despite making it obvious that we would have liked fresh ones, there were dirty pots lying around a neighbouring room for the duration of our stay, the stairs to the pool were broken and the balcony wasn’t cleaned. The food selection was poor. There was the same salad/desert bar every night and out of the 5 remaining dishes as ‘international’ dishes, only 4 changed.

Nice hotel but still in progress

We had really beutifull room with awesome view from balcony. Food was good. There werent anything for days, when weather wasnt so good (snooker, table-tennis etc.)

I waited 1 hour for room, then they putted us into different hotel. We were 3 days in st.georgios hotel and then just moved us to porto demo. We didnt know about this moving.

We were warmly welcomed by the staff which was extremely friendly and professional. Rooms were spacious, very clean, with lovely decor and magnificent view on the sea. Hotel has modern design and is perfectly located near the sea. Restaurant provided delish meal choices. It was a pleasure to stay

Disappointing

The whole concept is nice and beautiful on a first look. View is really beautiful.

When you arrive with a car, the signs will guide you to a totally wrong place. Reception has moved, no signs at all, where the reception is located at. We arrived and called to a number that our booking confirmation included and they told that the number has changed, it was not this hotel’s phone number. We arrived at 4PM and our room still wasn’t ready! Had to wait another 45min. Any of the rooms don’t have ventilation at all! It is very moist in the rooms, sleeping was very troubled. The cleaning lady’s schedule was really odd, one day the lady came at 9AM and woke us up, next day she came at 3PM. Air conditioner in the room leaked on the floor. All of the pools ladders were broken, at least one attachment was missing and the ladder was loose. The bathroom does not have any tables etc, where you can put your stuff. We had the junior suite, which looked like a normal room, really small. Had direct access to private pool, which was ok. All inclusive food is ok, nothing special. All inclusive cocktails and beer are not good. Overall had a bad experience, very much dirt everywhere and no one periodically cleans up public common places. Not worth the money in my opinion.

Porto Demo shambles

Views across the bay Review of Porto demo Hotel stay from 29th May 2019 until 8th June. After making our booking we were asked to move hotels for four days until our hotel was landscaped and ready for our stay. Little did we know that the hotel building works were not completed Our first stay in Amour Hotel we were disturbed each day by the builders who were completing the hotel. When we moved to Porto Demo and tried to book in we were told that we did not have a reservation so we had to wait to get a room which was very worrying. We finally got allocated a room our junior suite and found that our room had no coffee or cups and the fridge was not plugged in and there was no water or Fanta in the fridge and the phones weren’t working which just added to our stress and anxiety we had paid extra to have our own pool which we could get into but could not get out due to a rung on the steps was missing , we reported all these things to reception as they happened but we joined a queue of many other people who had similar experiences , the mood was not good. Both bathrobes were without tie cords. The booking .com websites describe the hotel as being on one floor , but there were many steps and no help offered with suit cases. The safety deposit box was not fixed to the wall therefore offering very little security for our valuables. There was no spa or yoga lessons or massage which was one of the reasons we had booked. It was very difficult to get into our bathroom especially as the bathroom door would not open fully as it banged against the toilet. We would expect to recover some of the money that we have paid for this very disappointing experience The hotel was a complete shambles, one evening there were no wine glasses and after enquiring with the manager he said the guests have all the glasses in there rooms ?
